Is there a Pro who can help me install some of the software I got from Audioz on my Mac? Instead of spending hours trying to figure out why it's not installing, I'd rather hire someone who knows the ins and out of installing software from Audioz. Or is there an area in one of the forums where I can find someone like this?

 

I'm sure there are people willing to take your money. But there are more people here who will help for the satisfaction alone.

Tell us what you are trying to install, and what is going wrong.

Provide: OS version, failed software (version, release), DAW and version, errors

 

You can always find somebody to set something up for you but when something goes wrong you won't have a clue how to fix it.

 

Thanks Haliax! I'm using 10.14.6. Having problems with Spectrasonics, using Ableton 9, this is the error I'm getting: Data properties file not found for Omnisphere. A possible explanation is that the installation was not completed properly (Omnisphere patch data needs to be upgraded to version 2; review installation procedure and install the version 2 data).

 

did you install Omnisphere using the DVD's or did you use that complete package where you have to copy the files on your own?

Then watch your PM's.
You should install it using the DVD's. There's a problem with a link to the STEAM folder when you copy it manually.
Happened here when I tested the recent patches on my virtual Mac machine. It worked after I created a link to the path
but I can't remember what I did exactly (I'm no Mac user) and at the moment I also can't access my virtual machines as I'm
working on another PC with just basic software installed.

The installer on the DVD's will create the needed paths and links automatically
so Omnisphere can find the STEAM folder and load the library successfully.

 

Sorry for jumping in, how were you able to link the Steam folder to the software. I'm getting the same error "

My (PC) computer failed but I had a cloned backup copy of my system drive. I installed it in the new computer and copied the Steam folder to the SSD. I think I went through and provided full control to everyone...per The Pirate's post. I checked the Steam folder layout per this site and all of the folders seem to be correct. All instruments worked on old computer. I have searched and searched this site for an answer to no avail. I have a Spectrasonics Win updates Jan2021 B download as well as a few other updates. I have tried them all with no success. From what I read on this site, I was hoping all that was needed were the respective DLL's. I also erased all of the old DLL's per The Pirate...Ultra Search is a great tool...thanks. I am stuck.. Any help would be appreciated
