High Sierra’s biggest features are those you won’t see right away, and in some cases might not even notice over time.
it is compatible with machines dating back to 2009, no matter what drive you use.
APFS will be adopted later on for non SSD's, thats not an issue at all.
This is a total game changer and the best OS ever, SL dethroned period

gaming on mac is now a thing, VR, AR, machine learning. this opens up the path for GPU audio processing in the future.
everything is now superfluid no matter how many displays you use, overall more stability, security & speed.

macOS always enjoys skyrocketing adoption rates anyway, and as far as public perception goes (and this time indeed it could be the worst), like always, Apple doesn't give a shit.

Some macOS developers are simply desgusting. Apple does not change things overnight. They anounce deprecation year(s) in advance, then they stop updating said deprecated framework then finally remove it. Same for the OS - it is developer beta for months. Yet all devs test their plugins on the day of the public release at best - not a single one is ready on the day of the OS public release date, that’s insane! I can test their apps with public betas but they can’t be bothered to do that? Absolutely ridiculous. And people always blame Apple. :deep_facepalm:

PS: Carbon deprecation was anounced in 2012 (!!!)

Some developpers just don't have enough cash to update softwares as fast as Apple. It's a real loss for them, not to be able to update.
Some app and plugin are lost forever.

32 Lives version 1.0.6 works fine. No problems with it. I do NOT have the Open SSH version of Altiverb. I have the other most recent version on the sister site and it works fine as well. Besides the Keygen app, I have had everything work. NI stuff, Refx, Waves, D16, Reveal Sound, Spectrasonics, Fab Filter, PSP, man.. everything works.

I'm not saying go ahead and update. I'm simply saying I had no issues with any plugins thus far and I have quite a few.

32 Lives was launched in September 2013. Their GUIs core library was anounced as being deprecated by Apple in 2012 (official documentation with what changes, how to ensure compatibility after libary removal). Starting a GUI in an already deprecated environment is not the best approach imo - it's a simple window with 3-4 buttons, it's not rocket science to make it futureproof. It's curious how all old software developed by VladG (for free) works (with a more complex GUI) with no update whatsoever while some more recent plug-ins (free or paid for) don't.

Sorry, lazy devs, that is. Not even Ableton made tests during betas (NI, Pioneer, ProTools, same bull), I don't even think they published a compatibility document - except for what users discuss on their forums.

nvidia webdriver is not installing properly if SIP is disabled, resulting in glitches/transparency issues.
dunno if this applies to hackintosh as well, may worth a try

32 lives works well. H sierra is alright ...but I found the update has come to a certain price, at least for my daily workflow. Istats needs to be updated, and still the operative system doesn't support 2 windows together resizing them appropriately ;(

Although the most annoying has been:

Issue n1 if you use your internal server, H sierra will update the Apache server, so it's unlikely to run it from wherever you were working. If you already had all the niceties you liked, instead of rewriting the conf file again, just drop your old conf file in the appropriate directory. Quicker and easier, you' ll always can add few other niceties as the ones found around, in the many tuts about the issue.

Issue n2 reading ntfs disks using paragon 15 doesn't seem to work. I did manage to mount disks, specially without paragon, since paragon 15 fails miserably, even when I uninstalled and reinstalled the little fella couple of times, but in any case I managed to write them. If anybody has a clue of any other program similar to paragon 15, or links to reliable sources/resources, please drop a line. Thanks in advance.

Don't have experience trying it yet, but, from what I've read, Tuxera 2016.1 works with HS for NTFS.

Vengeance Avenger doesnt work with an Nvidia Graphic (webdriver) card at all , on Mac or Hackintosh. Some still report crashes with Safari as under Sierra

Thanks, it works fine and version 2016 can be spotted freely around ...

What I have realised as for being the underlaying problem at hand is that the Mac's system preferences blocks certain programs from loading. At installation's time, this capability has to be enabled in the Mac Security& Privacy settings tab, from System Preferences, in order to successfully mount the NTFS disks using the disk manager. When that is not done, it's likely to receive an error.

    :disco::disco::disco:

Yep but not as I would like it to be ....

I would like an approach where the windows could be felt flexi (resizable), able to be grouped in clusters of different sizes and store the setting, showing a better interaction btw the active and passive window/s.
