Yes. I got loads to learn about Pro Tools and so on, all the modern stuff basically and I have friends who are collectors, shall we say, of the works of R2R and other teams of fame. That's why I decided to join this here club.

As far as styles go my own inventions (compositions) excite me more than anything else but honestly there's so much out there not a day goes by I don't hear something "new" by somebody that makes me rush over and turn up the radio. Yes, I'm a classic fan. Chuck Berry, Little Richard, the Rolling Stones and 4 Beatles.

All right, the story. I'm an oldtimer, in your terms anyway, I guess, old enough to have shaken John Lennon's hand - and I have. I was a schoolboy at the time and a fan of the guitar rather than any group in particular. Like others I finished school out of fear for my dad's belt rather than interest. Surviving school was easy however because I played guitar and had a way with girls. Fast-forward to today I can't count the number of jobs I've had to look back upon but I have always regarded my music as #1. I've lived in England, Continental Europe and the USA, I've played in a few groups, written a nice number of songs and am totally happy having remained kind of unfamous. There's freedom in it and now I'm here learning about DAWs and the art of downloading. I know a little bit about computers and became intrigued by the flexibility plug-ins offer over hardware, although a good set of microphones and some vintage gear will always remain at the heart of my recording setup. Aileron, whom I know very well, introduced me to this here & sister site. That's it, basically. Hi everybody.

Nobody guesses my age correctly. I'm told that I even look about 35, even though I tell them that's not my age but my IQ level. I'm actually 51.

 

I cant believe you slipped in here under the radar without a warm welcome. Or if ya got one I must have missed it . Age catches up with all of us eventually, and we forget things..
