missing this space and az for some reason. involved in a high speed bike accident last month and barely made it out alive. broke both my arms and few other bones. just got out of hospital yesterday after surgeries. feels like a cyborg now. am recovering. hope all you mfs are doing well.
Glad to hear you're getting better! What else you're gonna say, "happy that it wasn't worse"? Every time I was hospitalized and bedridden I used the time to read, since boredom's the real enemy. Hope you're sorted for some sort of activity.
First of all, get well soon, dear @Stevie Dude! Experience has shown that accidents herald a new phase in life, a kind of emergency stop or kill switch initiated by nature. Now you need a vacation and focus on your spiritual development. Please remember that as a cyclist you have no crumple zone, this time it worked out fine, I would just stop cycling or at least buy a bike helmet. We need you and can't do without you, so here are some virtual flowers for you! Last edited: Apr 6, 2025 at 2:40 PM
Wow dude, glad you are ok. Definitely missed your insight on newer stuff. Glad to see you back. I wondered where you were!!
That sucks, I hope you a speedy recovery! I had the same when my front wheel fell off of my bike going downhill at 45 mph the last day of the transit strike in NYC at the end of the 1970's. The fork stuck in the small grooves of the walkway of the 59th Street Bridge which was the defacto bike path and I went down on the right side of my face and the tip of my shoulder. I was unconscious for at least an hour until an ambulance could get through the parking lot which was what in essence the bridge was that day. My face was ripped up, my jaw was cracked, I fractured the orbit of my right eye and needed stitches to close the gash. When my girlfriend Victoria came to the hospital with her parents she screamed when she saw me, lol. You'll bounce back. It'll just take time after surgeries.
Well, I guess now you have more time to add even more timebombs and checks in Serum 2! Seriously though, I hope you get well soon. It must've been real scary.
Of course he's not Stevie Dude, he's Steve Duda. He mistyped his own name, probably to disguise himself as a parody. But I am no fool.
wow. i am so glad you are alive Stevie Dude!! That is very scary. My uncle was involved in a motorcycle accident that eventually took his life, it just took ten or 15 years to do so. He lost about 40% of his mental capacity after the accident, and spent the rest of his life in state of confusion and suffering. Bikes are just not worth it. I hope you heal swiftly, and with as minimal amounts of pain and complications as possible. Please let us know if there is any way we can help. Im not kidding. If you need help prepping stems, or listening to a mix to double check, or anything, im here, and im sure many others are too.
when I saw "hi!" I thought: now thats or Foster or our super hero Stevie! sad to read what happened but also glad to hear from you and read you getting better, hope to read more and more soon! We all missing you here...I am the first one! STAY STRONG!
I neither 'like' nor 'love it!' that this happened, so I chose 'winner' from the reactions as you've won another roll of the dice in the game of life. To add another cliché: in my experience, what doesn't kill you can make you stronger if you learn from it. Based on what I've seen, you seem like that kind of person. All the best Stevie.
I am very happy you are alive I lost my left leg and left arm/hand 4y ago, It's hard, but its possible
