I am trying to install Roland plugout by hexwars but can't open keygen in Sierra ?
Anybody knows anything about it ? I've tried to drag and drop source and run from Terminal, but nothing happens. It just crashes.

 

Isn't the hexwars keygen a PC keygen? A .exe file?

 

wonder where your conclusion origins from, jim :o) hexwars releases are "almost" mac exclusive.

There are several versions of the plugout keygens, try them all - try to find a crash report and paste it. Might be a framework issue - first guess. Apple likes to make backwards compatibility as hard as possible, its almost as bad as with the iOS SDKs

but ... is the keygen executable at all ? run a dirty:
chmod -r a+x <keygen>.app
or more precise:
chmod a+x <keygen>.app/Contents/MacOS/*

 

No, I have native OSX keygen .dmg and it seems like I found solution for this and will post it, just in case somebody need it as it works with any hexwars or other keygen that can't be opened because Apple changed something in structure with Sierra and gatekeeper so the tool which was used to build keygens doesn't run properly.
Following commands needs to be entered in Terminal:

Step1: sudo spctl --master-disable
Step2: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security GKAutoRearm -bool NO

After that keygen should open properly.
