All these internet peeps declaring it'll arrive in 25 etc were slightly off....

 

a latency fix for auto mode when recording should be their number 1 priority since most popular music nowadays has vocals in it long gone are the days of electronic music being the most popular genre

 

25% of the screen is occupied by his face... why do people do this?

The new mixer was really overdue. That saves a lot of clicks/keystrokes or the need for a second screen. I hope they don't raise the minimum reqs to macos 11, because that would filter my rusty meck out.

No, unfortunately not. They replied on facebook today that it's not possible atm.
It's one of the most requested features.

Some Vocal Aligning feature would be enough for me in the first step.
And this must be possible with their Warp Engine.

 

The bad things about Ableton are unredeemable. I'm not impress with this upgrade. Ableton 11 was a massive improvement over the trainwreck that was A10, but they can f**k off, they aren't getting my money this time. Some minor workflow improvements on an outrageously dated and drab UI? 2 devices + 2 sample packs? wow!

 

Hey just wondering, I started using Ableton from 11, what exactly were you hoping for or were you expecting? just curious.

 

Seems like a great update, many improvements that I wished for a long time. The similarity search in the browser and devices is impressive. The new midi functions and devices (especially Roar) seem also very very useful.

You have to really love Ableton.. and I do, it's my DAW

 

Nothing lol, just a longer support for Ableton 11 I guess (it's been 2 years I think, which is short compared to 8 or 9). As is, Ableton 11 is pretty good, it's stable, it never crashes (unlike the previous version). I guess from now on I'll be like the ancient people who are still using FL Studio 10 because they don't see a reason why to switch.

 

oh yeah, and oh no! I have to buy a new Mac and my UAD cards & UA Apollo Duo might have to be replaced as well. That generation switch is gonna get really expensive. I knew the day would come but I hoped it wouldn‘t be that soon.
