To start the day watching this video was a powerful experience for me. As life progresses, the World seems like a darker place at every turn. It is extremely valuable to learn that we can still feel and be sensible to beautiful things. Thanks for sharing, mate.

 

That would be really stupid. It's not about her or performance or.. it's about the message. I am a bit sensitive to the subject because of a problem I had myself. Recovered.. but sadly had the opportunity to experience something similar.

As a musicians we should consider just some facts:
- if you love making, performing etc. music, and suddenly this happens and you don't find the force to choose the extremely difficult path, like the girl in the vid, the psychological impact can be devastating..
- even if your hearing is perfect it will deteriorate - you can find the simulations on yt how a 20, 30, 40.. y/o person hear the same freq. It will happen. No matter how careful you are about it
- many times you can read the phrase "trust your ears only".. well, even if you are not a pro, you prob know that in fact your ears - brain will start playing tricks on you after just an hour of work.

That's why I like that many plugins have a nice visual representation of vol., freq.. I think your brain auto-magically start connecting the sound and visual stimulus. Thanks for the post as a reminder...

What everyone seems to have failed to mention is how this programme , and all the others with same format are just fodder for the hoi polloi and consequently shite. Perhaps it is believed that this is the real reality and not even a little bit contrived. I felt my intelligence insulted even with this minor viewing experience. Good luck to the girl though.

 

This post proves two things.
