Hi im a newbie, i need someone to please help me to install this on my PC

I have tried for 3 days and cant seem to get it to work. i even downloaded version V923 and same problem

I have copied shells and everything, but why it still not working? seems like the dll files are missing for each individual plugins as they are not there in vst plugin folder. Can anyone help me please?

    tnx so much.

after you have installed you should have a waveshells folder in your waves installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\waveshells

simply copy the waveshell dlls and place each one into their corresponding vst folders, 32bit vst2 (x86) / 64bit vst2 / vst3 / etc, the actual plugins are stored in their own folder, the waveshells are the only files required in your vst folders

which DAW are you using? if waves failed loading, it may be on the DAWS blacklist so does not get checked/loaded, so you will need to rescan vst folders

and make sure your vst folders are also listed in your DAW, check settings/preferences for folder locations

Another option is to point your DAW to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Waveshells

I do this for Samplitude. For other DAWs such as Reaper, use the preferences or options to add the required folder(s) holding your VSTs.

If you are not sure please read the manual for your DAW and get to know the basics. Everything else will come from trial and error
    along with good tips.

    Happy tracking....

tnx for the reply. im using FL 11 and pro tools 10 , i copy the shells to the folders and i did add the folders to search scan, no joy. seems as if the plugins are not showing up in my list, only the wave shell files are present under the plugins. how do i select the waves plugins from only the shell files? cause if i click on the shell files nothing happens.

guys I can't get this to work with cubase , everything I try always end up with the "No Waves Licence found, press skip to continue without waves plugins".

Ive tried everything suggested, tried multiple times.

    Any ideas ?

UPDATE: Fixed the issue, had to do a search on my C drive to see what I was missing, It was the Program Files / Common / VST3 folder I was missing, all good now.

that location is the default location for vst3 plugins, so it needs to be included in the vst folder locations in your DAW, waves uses both vst2 and vst3

I just followed the instructions to the letter, and no problem there

If I remember correctly, after copying the 3 (?) files to the respective locations (somewhere in Common files\VST directory, VST, And VST Plugins) i even deleted the \Waveshells folder created by the patch in the Waves directory, and everything works as it should.

    hey guys,

I just made an account just to post this because this was the only place i could find anyone talking about v9r24 and i know i sure needed help with v9r23 so i really hope yall could help me out.... so here's what I'm dealing with, got v9r24 downloaded and installed, ran the patch and everything seemed to run fine.... I open abelton live and all the waves plugins are there and working like they should be.... so i move on over to my pro tools 11 and pt tells me that the waves .aax bundle is not a valid 64-bit version.... I'm just confused because i know both v9r24 and pt 11 are both 64-bit..... any ideas???

    thanks in advance

If you check in the nfo file it says:

    PLATFORM : WiN32 - EXE/VST/VST3/RTAS, WiN64 - VST/VST3

    Unofrtunately no AAX

the copy i downloaded didn't come with a nfo file like v9r23 did, but I believe you because I'm just now noticing no mention of AAX in this nfo. so basically the crack only cracks APP/AU/VST/VST3/RTAS lol everything but AAX lol this is unfortunate :( but thanks for the help, I guess I'll be learning how to mix better in abelton instead of pt until I can find a work around haha :dunno:

when i paste the waveshell .dll file into my plugin folder, all that happens is that file appears in my plugins browser (ableton 9) but doesn't do anything.
tried copying individual plugin dll files into the folder but they don't show up.
I really only want about 6 of them. do i need to install the lot?

actually i really only want InPhase.
If anyone can suggests an alternative i'm happy to ditch waves all together

Nevermind. turned out to be an ableton glitch.
I changed the vst folder to another random folder then back again which made it do a full scan and that did the trick.
although i ended up with about 30 more plugins than I expected, weird....

During the installation process You can choose what plugins You want...

Otherwise, after the installation, before patching, You can try to delete the dll You don`t need... I haven`t tryed that, but I think it should work ?!?

no you can just select the individual plugins, just untick the packages at the top (mercury etc) and scroll down till you come to the individual plugins list and tick the ones you want, then patch as normal, then place the waveshells into your vst folders

yep, most likely a DMCA request to have them removed, you'll have to do a bit of googling to find it, but its out there, you can download the official offline installer direct from waves and then just find the patch, good hunting

I also use Cubase and receive the same 'No Waves License Found' message, but as I'm using Mac OS X, there is no Common/VST3 folder, or any equivalent that I can see it may be missing from. Anyone know what the problem might be?
