Hi!

I’m looking to upgrade the old “NVIDIA GeForce GT 120” that came with my Mac Pro with a much better card.

However…I’m looking for the quietest – most silent card! Yesterday I received a new “ATI Radeon HD 5870”, great card and performance was very much noticeable, yet I couldn’t stand the noise, although it is low, I’m very sensitive and in my treated studio I really could hear it and it bothers me, sucks.

So… I’m looking for a powerful yet most silent card possible! Price range: $250-350.
These are the cards that I’m looking at the moment, but I don’t know if they can be installed in a Mac Pro? If necessary I could upgrade my OSX to 10.10 for this.

1. EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB SSC GAMING ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling Graphics Card

2. "Palit" Geforce GTX 750 Ti Kalmx Silent 2GB GDDR5 Card

I do see Mac Pro upgrade sites that do offer many high end “EVGA GeForce GTX” type cards as an upgrade, so looks like these are possible to install, but I do want to make sure and need your help.

32GB RAM
