Hi fellas. Maybe anyone has experienced this before and has a suggestion or two. I'm on 10.0.7. I wanted a guitar track to be groove-fed by a side chained compressor with a send from the drums summing folder channel. I'm using Apple's stock compressor. The moment I do this, the guitar track starts off by 2 fourth notes ahead of time.

Any ideas?

Not had that problem but you could try...
bouncing in place the drum track,
setting that audio track to have no output,
use that as the side chain signal rather than the send.

Might work. 10.0.7 seems more buggy even than previous versions of Logic x.

 

Make sure your recording to same drive with Logic X seems like a bug if trying to record to different drives it would set my audio and midi playback off

 

That's a pretty massive delay. Is it delayed by exactly half a bar, or is that an approximation? Delays that large sound like it's not latency, and is being added in somewhere in the chain. Is this a guitar that's already being tracked, or just monitoring your input?

 

Check to see if you're using 'Look Ahead' as Logic has to delay the track in order for to be able to 'Look Ahead' of the track. The more 'Look Ahead' you have, the bigger the delay will be.
