    [MAIN POINT ON SECOND PARAGRAPH]
I guess there's already a thread for this,
maybe I'm just not searching hard enough...
But hey, at-least this one would be on top now,
so everybody would see, I've been seeing also some post that
they have this issue, so am I...
I fixed this before I just forgot how I did it,
    please do refresh me haha...
Dang reformatting PC, lost my settings hehe...

So, yah... anyway enough with the blah blah blah...
    My main question here is...
What do I need to do again to remove that delays while recording midi?
    I'm always at 48k sample rate for wave I use 24bit and 192 - 320kbps for mp3...
(I don't know why I placed that, but it might have to do with something)
And... I don't know if my audio card has something to do with it,
coz my controller is directly in the usb port, my audio card doesn't have midi usb input...
    So yah...
What do i have to do again, to remove the milliseconds delay while recording midi?
    Thanks in advance...

    ONE LOVE
    GOOD VIBES

ASIO driver. Lower your buffer size.

My sound card driver works well with most DAW's, so I don't use Asio4All, anymore! But, since you didn't list any audio specs:

1)Lower your buffer size on your sound card, if not possible........
    2)Try Asio4All!

... and why you use 48khz ????? you work with movie 3d surround production ? DVD ?

Maybe you don't know but Audio CD is in 44khz 16bit format, and it's enough for making a song and playing on your stereo and in CAR mp3 320 ...

I always go to 44khz and 512 samples for audio buffer and have no problems with latency, it's enough.

Asio4all for sure,I used the asio directx that came with Cubase or Nuendo for years,I think there was another one called asio multimedia or something like that too,I've had both of those at pretty low latencies with some toying with buffer size, but been using asio4all for the last year or so and I'd say I have much less latency and it's much easier to configure,I keep it at 512 or a lil more when recording midi,I need to set it higher when I'm using a lot of synths & fx though.only downside is I wish the buffer size could be set larger,(I have a weak pc that starts stuttering under heavy load)I sometimes switch to the direct x asio when mixing just because of that, but I imagine most reading this post have multiple core cpus so you guys prolly dont have that problem.I also agree that 44.1 should be the setting unless you absolutely need higher.Though if I'm not mistaken running at 48k or 96k will actually lower latency a lil but increase cpu load

First of all you should always use your sound cards ASIO driver before using ASIO4ALL. Second of all the answer to your question is to fuck with your buffer until you find a good balance between latency and your computer's processing ability. Finally you should use 44.1 Khz not 48 Khz.

This explanation simplifies it all... "fuck with your buffer..."
yeah Imma try this out haha...

And to everyone, yes I'm using my sound card's ASIO...
I didn't forget that much yah know,
asio is like part of the basics...
Just installing a DAW it comes with an automatic ASIO that is
detecting what kind of generic sound card you are using...

    And that's gonna be it...
    Thanks again... :)

By the way, does the sound change when the buffer size is changed? O.o
