Help me with this dry bass sound please!!

    Hi i would like to have some help to make a bass like this ive come pretty close but i cant get it so clean and dry and nice like this, there is a bass called hollow tube in sylenth factory bank lead 55 that sounds similular but can anyone give me some tips on how to make it sound bad ass like these samples , eq , filter, anything please i will be forever grateful.

    Saw. Notched at around 300Hz. Distorted. Additional EQ (pre and post distortion).
    There's really not much more to it.

    The "effects" you are asking for is probably notch filter, distortion, EQ and sidechain compression.

    i think i would use fm synthesis. saw wave as base and modulate with one sine wave one or two octaves higher. add a lowpass filter with a little resonance. open the filter envelope (no attack, no decay, no release ) and use the sustain to level the filter.
    if you mess with the modulation waveform you can get various glitch effects.
