    Hello Guys
Some of you might know that I got a new pc a while ago (you helped with the specs)
it's an i7 11700KF, ASRock Z590 Phantom Gaming,32 Gb ram, one Kingston SFYRS/1000G 1TB NVMe 1TB for OS. I was short on cash so had to skip another disk for storage.
now I need 2 more SSds each one preferably 2TB
one for my 3D library & one for my Kontakt and music related stuff (I can already fill one TB hence I need the extra for expansion)
so can you please suggest something that is good but not the most expensive
I think the MB can take another NVMe but the 2nd one must be PCI 4 or something

another thing can you please shed some light on the best way you organize your kontakt Libraries?
do u keep them on a seperate disk?

any help is appreciated. thank you
    cheers.

I don't know if you still have a free connector for a SATA SSD on your motherboard.
    Crucial MX500 2TB 2.5 inch SATA III Internal SSD (CT2000MX500SSD1) 170 €

    i7 10700KF is 10th gen
    M2_1 works with 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processors only)
    https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z590 Phantom Gaming 4/#Specification

So you have only ONE Hyper M.2 Socket, already taken.

About SSD, i'm computer tech and advice Crucial Sandisk Samsung EVO :
Crucial MX500 Samsung 860/870 EVO or Sandisk SSD plus
You can find them discounted. Or second hand (good quality, no problem).
2TB MX500 is around 180 bucks, like Sandisk

If you don't mind more loading time, buy a single internal 4/6TB mechanical hdd.
And split it into two partitions.

You can find 6TB hdd mechanical internal for 100 bucks only.
And it will work alright with Kontakt (32 GB ram helps a lot for disk load)

If you are tight on money, go the second option.
FORGET external disks : you loose reaction time (latency)

NVME is the same price than SSD of the same capacity.

So buy 1 NVME and 1 SSD.
If the price is not a problem :D

NVME Crucial 2TB is a good bang for the buck (180 bucks)

    hello again
Unfortunately guys what you have recommended is not available here (Importing will be much expensive)
so I am left with tese choices:
    For the NVMe
    Kingston SKC2500M8/2TB NVMe 2TB PCIe SSD at 199 $
    or

    Kingston KC3000 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD at 309 $
    and for the SSD

    Kingston A400 SA400S37/1920G SSD at 195 $

these will be used one for my Kontakt Lib and one for my 3D Library ( 3d models, textures. PSD etc...)
if I skipped the KC3000 as it's a bit expensive. do you think in real world situation they should be enough? or will I experience a slowdown or bottleneck?
    any advice?
    thak you for the help
    Best regards

Hi @Yellow Raven, you can always reorder if the memory is not enough.
This is state of the art technology that is very fast that you are buying, there will be no bottlenecks or slowdowns.

Hello guys, This is my first post here due to an issue with my MacBook. As a result, it's critical to monitor your SSD's health. Is there any way to find out how they're doing in terms of their health? This is an area in which I have no prior experience. If at all possible, please make a suitable recommendation for me about this article. Can I follow the methods mentioned there? Or have you any other recommendations?

CrystalDiskInfo by Crystal Dew World is an open-source application that can help you check the health of your hard drives and solid-state drives (SSD). Sadly, there is no version of CrystalDiskInfo for Mac, but you can download and install other tools that can perform similar tasks. Here are some alternatives to CrystalDiskInfo for Mac. https://formac.informer.com/crystaldiskinfo
