I ve cubase 5 I try to connect kontakt 5 and addictive drums 2 to it but I cannot see them I put the dll files of the apps in the vst path of cubase I dont know why I tried to put it somewhere else in program files *86 but nothing happend still trying to fix the problem please can someone help me

 

Im not sure what you mean by putting the dll's in the vst path. Have you installed the software and directed them to bla/bla/bla/vst or just put the dlls fiels there? Some plugs really need a full install. Sorry if its obvious but just wanna rule that out first.

If you done it correctly you should be able to update your path or create new path where Cubase scans when it launches. Look under Devices tab and run and update/refresh on Plug-in info or something like that. I dont remember was ages since i was on 5 but see if you can find it there. Should show if the paths are right.

If not add the path you have place the dll's in. Also be sure you havnt installed x64 on a x86 system..

Let me know if you find something else or solved it..

When you install Kontakt or another plugin, install VSTs (.dll) in vst directory, commonly \program files\vstplugins. Then in cubase you need to add the path directory to allow the DAW to recognize them: go to DEVICES >PLUGIN INFORMATION then select VST2 PLUG-INS PATH then select ADD and search the location where Kontakt vst (.dll) is (again commonly \program files\vstplugins) Select ok to all and then restart Cubase.

If your version of cubase 5 is a cr3cked one then you will need the x86 version of the kontakt dll in the vst folder of your choice as mentioned above.
