13-14 July In Poland, will be the Ultra Music Festival.
On this occasion, UMF is organizing a competition for the music dj set.
The competition is held by Mixcloud.com

We all have dreams we want fulfilled.. I think asking for votes is just a bad idea, doesn't look good.. if you do well, it's because your music was good, not because you went around forums asking for help in bright red fonts.

Just my opinion.

 

Yes you are right and you are entitled to have such a sentence. But do not know the story of my life ... Listen The other set of the competition ... I listen to that mix which has 600 votes. Does he deserve to 600 votes? Do not ... these are the voices of friends.

So what is it that makes you think your mix is better than his, or that he doesn't deserve the votes? Is your mix unique or is the tracklist just hand picked from the current beatport top 20?

I think dj's (myself included) deserve no recognition what so ever, it's not hard at all to mix and after all, why should anyone get any credit for simply playing other peoples records.

This set was made In Ableton Live

Transitions aren't played track in track a song listen to the combination of loops, instruments, synth etc.

I don't want to reach THIS Fame.

Everyday for 2 years I learned Music production art.


I'd love just to play for large audiences.

Im guessing it wasn't done on the fly either.

So basically you got a handfull of the latest tracks from beatport, layed them out in ableton and bounced it down as a mix.

Sorry I just find that hard to do when so little effort has gone into it.

 

You know how much time is spent on recording live set? 40 minutes.
You know how much I spent? 14 hours.
The guy did not want to vote do not do it give it a rest.

A 40min dj set has been submitted which took Dj Different Eye 14hrs to make, you kidding me right??

Also your totally missing the point of the whole artical which makes you look like the idiot!!. Joel is a live performer not a dj and never claims to be a dj, he even jokes about how he's in dj mags top 100 dj poll and he aint even a dj.

How can you even compere this set (and how it was made) and what I said to what deadmau5 does on stage?

Honestly, what you have produced (not dj'ed) should of and can be done on the go if you have any talent as a dj at all.

Anyone with an hours training could do what you did (and quicker), the main point of the artical is that where it really counts is in the studio and the tunes he dishes out. Not some talentless wanabe playing someones tunes doing a jesus pose.
