    Hi!

I'm working on a 1:1 remake of this song from 1993:

Since this was made in 1993, I have tried many of the Roland VSTs from my Cloud subscription andI hope someone can help me in the right direction for:

    - Bass
I'm using a patch from Juno 106, but it's about 70% right. Any tips here would be nice to I can get a 1:1 sound.

    - Pads
"Cold" sounding patches. Any tips on which patches I should look after?

    - Piano
Tried many, but not the same sound.

    - Vocal
Choir-ish sound at 3:07 - from sample cds in the 90s or some gear from the 90s?

Any help is really apricated <3

The vocal seems to have been sampled from a Bulgarian folk song called Pilentze Pee, from 1975.

    Go to 0:19

    It's a nice sample.

I know all the trance heads used to use the JP-8080 or JP-8000 for leads. The Korg M1 has a good Piano patch that would probably fit.

You could try U-He Diva for the bass, sounds like a saw/square combo to me

Keep in mind the release date of the song vs the release date of synths you consider as possible original sources. Of course, you do not need to use the exact synths as the original for anything; but damn does it make it a lot easier sometimes. Especially when you figure out the producer used barely tweaked presets from hardware, or to rule out features that had not even been invented yet.

JP-8080 release date: 1998. JP-8000 release date: 1996. The Korg M1 was already a "Classic" by 1993 so that works in timeframe. The 8000 and 8080 are too late, but it's predecessor was the JD-800, and prior to that would be the D-50. The 8000 was already focused on Analog Modeling. If you went into a music store to buy a synth at the time of the M1, right next to it would have been the D-50, and maybe the Kawai K4.

Humate was until 1996 a German trance group, then just the German record producer Gerret Frerichs, who has released singles with record labels such as MFS and Superstition. The reissue of the track, "Love Stimulation" peaked at #18 in the UK Singles Chart, in January 1999.

Piano sounds a lot like the M1 standard, but there's a delay to find. Try the internal options, but beyond that you might be better off finding what studio PVD recorded it in and their gear list to narrow down the delay. Doesn't sound too tight to me, so it might be an external delay.

Discogs says that this remix was 1998. Original was 1993. I think that changes everything if its accurate.
