i would go for the cheapest one - i got hold of the normal version: AKAI Professional LPK25 MkII

i do only use the octave button, i dont need any faders to control anything. its just a small one to simply play chords in or play a melody.

if you need something bigger you can still buy it later.
i own several sizes: 2x 25 keys, one 49 and 61 key size, but right now 49 key size simply works well for my desktop, the LPK25 is for traveling and just works stellar for that, since its light and minimal size with its small keys.

Yes, I had read about supports Logic but I don't know if Arturia was referring to Logic 10.

LP 11 is new so that customer wrote that note and I don't know if, because of that, he had problems (and I would have them too if I buy wrong :bleh:).

Of course you can write an email to Arturia to be 100% sure.

if you will mostly be using pads, get a keyless controller.
There are many available. You can get a separate controller for keys if you find you need them later.

here are some FL studio controllers

    https://hiphopmakers.com/best-fl-studio-midi-controllers

if you really want a keyboard, consider the arturia line, find one in your budget and size.
they come with a remarkable amount of software instruments that can be used standalone or as a vst plugin in any daw that supports vst3.

Arturia KeyLab Essential mk3 — 49 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller with Analog Lab V Software Included 219$ in the usa.

includes Analog Lab V software which is a nice package indeed.

download the manual, check the website for FL studio compatibility (premapping)

Good lord. If you tidied those clothes away you'd probably have room for an 88 key controller.

Brother, just bundle some of those many pieces of clothing together and fabricate some sound treatment for your room. Don't let it all go to waste! One idea is that you could buy some rope, string a couple lines at different levels across the back wall and use hangers and clothes pins to create three surface pockets. You'll definitely knock off all the high frequency reflections, and with the pants you'll be able to bundle bass traps.

    Waste not, want not.

All keys people proposed here are very good. Controllers have gone a long way tbh. From my view, you should get something that will inspire and help you achieve your goals faster. I take it you are not a musician with the traditional sense, so for Ableton Live and also the best feats for your money with other daws too, should be the Novation Launchkey 49 mk4. Not the small one as you posted, it lacks the faders part. The 49 keys is around 250 dlrs. I sort of dig one for myself too hehe.
    Cheers

how can I sell you something you already own? Bring it out in a new colour. Arturia, do limited runs of reverse keyboards, black & gray keyboards, red, mint green and I probably missed a few.

its available in a plethora of colours, to match your drapes or carpet, or nail polish...

the essential series connect via usb only, the standard models connect via usb or 5 pin midi (you need a power supply for 5 pin midi), the upper end standard have control voltage (CV) connections as well as usb and midi, but you probably don't need to worry unless you have an analog synth or 2 lying about.

go to arturia's site and download the manual..
also look at the downloads for the keyboard model you are interested in, it will list the DAW's that they have premapped the keyboard for
if logic pro 11 is in there, you are all good..

look in the arturia forums on arturia's website, ask if anyone is having problems using Logic Pro 11..

I've still yet to get a controller because like I said earlier in the thread I am about 1.5 hours from a big music store that would actually sell them. I also hate driving in the city people drive stupidily and I hate the traffic lol.

I've decided I'm getting this, I've watched the reviews and I'm sold. Also you can use the MPC software for stem speration right on the device. I want to get hands on, but again there is nothing close that would sell one so I may have to just order it online and hope for the best.
