I've just downloaded R2R's latest Cubase, but I have some confusions as to what and how I should extract the files. It's really got me stumped!

So, first, inside "Steinberg.Cubase.Pro.14.v14.0.32-R2R"...
There's three files by the name "r2r15167.part01", "r2r15167.part02" and part 3.
- Each part contains a "Content" folder, a "Cubase14.iso", and (only the first) a TXT instruction.

- Do I have to extract all the parts folders to get it to work? Or just Part 1 with the TXT instructions?
- 7Zip seems to extract part 1 fine, but part 2 and 3 have an 'data error' and the extracted ISO file has 0mb.
- So instead, I downloaded WinRAR and used that on each folder. But they all come out as simply a folder named "r2r15167" so it asks me if I want to overwrite each folder each time. (Perhaps I should manually create a new folder named "r2r15167.part01"...part 2, etc... each time?)

This has all left me really confused on how I should approach extracting parts. How do I go about this?

I don't use Cubase, but to try and help you out I downloaded it from sister site. My Windows 11 PC extracted it all fine. Just double click on Part 1.
I opened the .iso. Opened the Steinberg folder, then the Cubase folder and clicked Cubase.exe. Installed perfectly.
If it doesn't work for you, ask a friend/colleague to open the archive on another computer, copy across to your computer then run the install.

 

The clearest and easiest solution - select all, right click, unpack here.

The answers to the individual questions are all yes, because compression is a powerful tool and so you can pack/unpack any which way but not the same way, every time, every where. It really isn't complex, and when ya get it ya get it... but for now, and this... just select all right click and unpack. Both winrar and 7zip will respond the same way in that situation and will sequentially unpack the files, leaving you with the desire and intended composition. To have less chance of confusion or error, use winrar on rars. If you are still being thrown errors in the scenario, re downloading and and trying again will be the simplest and most likely to succeed solution.
