The acoustics of the showroom are no doubt very different than the production environment in your home. That's why the HS8s sounded different muciones.

    Hi Muciones,

Even in the manual is mentioned that you should power your computer(or any soundsource device) first, with the volume knob on your audio interface to minimum, then turn on the monitors and slowly turn up the volume as much as you need. Also they mention that any sudden/steep volume rising might damage your speakers, so it's adviced to do it slowly. When you wanna turn off your computer, turn the monitors off first and then turn off the computer.

So they don't have any stand-by function, right? I will shut them down but will use a separate power extender to shut them down same time, is annoying to switch from the back 3-5 times/day each one

Is this safe to use a power extension cord and to power on/off both of them same time?

Adam monitors are the only monitors I know of that have standby.
I would not think of it as completely safe if you use a cheap, low-grade power strip (see Contact bounce).
Maybe a good master/slave power strip would be feasable for you, where your computer or mixer would be the master and the monitors the slave.

The Master/Slave Power strip is a great idea, thanks
