    Just listened to your track,

    I would recommend learning some simple music theory and brushing up on your chord progressions. To me it sounds like there is a lot of notes that are all in the right key, yet a distinct lack of direction, primarily due to there being no chord progression. Try these chord progressions for dark trap stuff;

    In any minor key

    1 chord - 4 chord
    or
    1 chord - 4 chord - Dominant 5 chord
    or
    4 chord - Dominant 5 chord - 1 chord
    or
any variant of the minor 2-5-1

The drums and mix could defo use some work, but I feel like that stuff is significantly easer to fix than learning to improve the raw compositions. Shoot me a PM if you would like help with anything, hope this helped :)

I don't know what the hell the drill is, but this piece surprises me and asks me to listen, it's not the typical shitty sequence that everyone does, and after 0.1 seconds I stop listening.
    Thanks for sharing.

it can be really helpful when you are writing sub bass lines to move your entire bassline up an octave (or even two) to make sure the notes are actually correct and then move them back down. or write it that way and -12 it. pitch mistakes are just way easier to hear.

+1. I wont get into the "music theory" part since @surely covered my critiques of the track so I'll get into the genre specific stuff. Drill music is a sub genre of Trap, but still has distinct characteristics that I feel you've overlooked. As a decent starting point, I'd-
    1) Add a kick(or a better, more audible one)
    2) Move the 2nd snare/clap off the 3rd beat(typically they are shifted to the 4th beat, but you can shift it earlier too)
    3) Simplify the 808s(in drill the 808 patterns are a lot different than trap, topic for another day! in general, plays less often in the first half of a loop, and evolves to slides and glides, instead of completely new note triggers in the second half)
    4) Switch the hat pattern(Drill music typically avoids the straight 8th note hat pattern, instead they use this dotted 8th note pattern that sounds swung to an extent)

...just so you actually fall in the "Drill" ballpark, because these are typical requirements for the genre. Obviously you should not stick to these rules always, try and divert a bit to be unique, but its better to try and follow them if you are producing a genre you aren't used to.

Sound selection is key too, while Drill can use similar melodic sounds as Trap, I find the drums need to be specific. Really short rimshots and "chop snares" are preferred over regular snares and claps, the 808s typically have a much softer attack than usual and the hats tend to be either shaker-like or lower pitched.

This is just my opinion, hopefully it helps! I like what you were going for though, I just think you need to be more familiar with the genre. Download a few drill specific drumkits, watch a few videos/listen to drill music and try to pick out the differences between them and their trap counterparts!
