The Germanium Filter is full of vintage dirt tonnes with plenty of weight, and certainly not for the faint hearted. This balls-to-the-wall box of gain is sure to put a smile on your face.

    Russian Transistors
The company sourced and used old obsolete 1960s Russian transistors in the Germanium Filter. These were hand-paired, according to the Death By Audio’s somewhat unconventional specifications, with the desire to coax a bold and lively distortion sound.
When you sweep through the Filter control, the Germanium Filter presents you with its full range of sounds, all the way from bottomless sub-bass to a “biting dog-whistle treble”! Check out the official demo video with Oliver below. It isn’t subtle, but if you are looking at this pedal then you probably don’t want subtle anyway.
