An old project needs this ancient crossfeed plugin. It was a free vst so there's no issue posting a link here. For those curious in trying this 2006 headphone vst again I've found that using wayback machine works. I only needed it to load an old project, not to actually use it. https://web.archive.org/web/20080705204705/http://refinedaudiometrics.com/products-hdphx.shtml
It's actually very Good The closest thing Ive tried would be Waves NX, but it has a sort of space/room simulation going on aswell.. DearVR Monitor has a very different sound in contrast, much more Wide and Bright in comparison to NX, kinda gives more of the room/space sim but with a less altered tonality. This is the best plugs I found in this area, coupled with MorphIt for the headphone correction.. Still this could be useful, and it's interesting to have the Crossfeed without the actual room. for crosfeed emulation: Ghz CanOpener Studio 3 112dB.Redline.Monitor HPL2_Processor_win-2.0.0 DSONIQ - REALPHONES
I'm thinkin that another that could potentially be used is Reaper's own ReaSurround.. It's completely adjustable in terms of speaker number/position, very Clean and Natural, and it seems to simulate the spatial propagation/air absortion, rather than the room response/character, or the speakers themselves, or being a more basic crossfeed.. -On a related topic, I've been trying many Surround DownMixers for listening to the Akira 5.1 OST on headphones, and ReaSurround gave by far the Cleanest and most Natural and satisfactory result.. HaloDownmix was quite allright too, very Clean also, less spatial but more digital, while Flux Hear and Binauralizer imprint more of the Room or the Speakers sound.. Oh and there's also GRM SpaceVR which VintageDoc recommended me on the sister site, very interesting one, and very featured to support the wildest and most insane surround speaker setups.. I guess Flux Spat could be another option, but maybe it's a bit overkill setting it up just for monitoring.. -Btw I've been tryin Redline Monitor, and I like it too, very adjustable, and seems to be sort of a middle term between crosfeed and space/speakers sim.. Ahhh.. OK You could just delete the plugin from the old project or replace the plugin with another and then save the project... But maybe you did not want to alter the old project at all
