    Hey!

    This is Aviat.
Hope you all are doing great :)

This year I signed my 5 tracks to 3 different label.
    https://www.beatport.com/artist/aviat/595425

The labels are - 19Box Recordings, High Scream Records, Ghostmind Records.
So my main concern is that as I will keep progressing [hope for the best] I am going to aim for better labels. Will the labels checkout the previous releases and decide the further release decision or not?
Have I made a mistake by signing my tracks to small labels? :dunno:

I think I have made a initial foundation mistake for my own branding.
What do you think? It's eating me out as I got present to this concern :( :suicide:

    Please share your opinions.
    Thank you.

Congrats. I think getting in play, increasing your visibility on beatport and resident advisor will vastly increase your credibility with better level labels, in the future. But theres nothing wrong with having a little label that wants to hustle for you. Live performances will help a lot too.

    Hello!
    Thank you for the reply.

Yes I'm also performing live in my city [at various clubs, restaurants and private events] which is Mumbai, India.
I have also got a slot for a music festival in the upcoming month.

So it won't impact the future rapport and communication with better labels?
Also I'm always left with self doubting behaviour. How should I overcome the feeling?

Once again thank you for the reply

Having a history of formal commitments is a good thing. Evidence of signing up to a deal and delivering the goods, no matter how large or small, marks you out as a dependable guy. It's your "buy in" to the scene.

Signing to a small label in your early days doesn't go against you. It becomes a part of your track record (no pun intended). As you grow, it's not what you know but who you know.

Congrats on making it thus far. Onwards and upwards, bro'.

I agree with DarthFader. Also, as far as self doubt goes, I find that worrying about what happens to an individual track after I've gotten to a point of completion with it breeds that kind of thinking. Try to remember that, whatever you're working on, it's probably not the last track you'll make, so you can focus on the next one, and using it to aid in developing and growing as an artist. There's always the next track.

How did you get attached to these labels? Is there a personal connection, or someone there developing you?

No, nothing at all. Alhough I would recommend getting a fictitious business name, an LLC and getting your music coded up. Before giving it to anyone.
