Have I discovered PD synthesis using an allpass filter?

    Hi y'all

So recently I was messing around with Volcano 3 and stumbled upon this technique by chance.

Basically, I run a sine wave at 100 hz, set the all pass filter's cutoff at the same freq. Then I set a bunch of LFO's at 150, 200, 250, 400 and 500 hz respectively, and route them all to modulate the cutoff.

Here's a short video to demonstrate the basics. Although the filter type is Gentle (non-linear) I've tried it with Clean (linear) and it still works.

Then did some other stuff (not in the video) like modulating the LFO's phase, frequency etc.

I guess the next step would be to add an envelope and I will have transformed Volcano 3 into an FM/PD synth (with a sine wave before it, of course) ?
