Was just contemplating the constant updates of plugins and was curiously wondering if there's ever been a plugin released as v1.0.0 and then never updated; not because of dropping it, but because it just worked as it should and never needed to be fixed nor have any extra features added.

Anyone aware of any?!

 

Interesting topic. I have some BETA's that work flawlessly, however, were eventually updated but totally changed the plugins interface, workflow and sound, and not in a good way, so I stick with these.. but I guess thats not what you mean.

 

I don't know any, but I know some plugins have terribly outdated GUI as though they haven't been updated since v. 1.0

 

I can't even come up with one.

 

That's a tough one. How about looking for plugin companies that closed shop (aka went to shit) and look for their latest?

Astra synth. It was technically updated but only with new presets. Absolutely 0 real changes since release. (Even though it desperately needs some)

 

HoRNeT FatFet is the only one I can think of without going through all the old free plug-ins I've collected. Not sure it's much to update in that one since it's pretty simple and works flawlessly (for me at least)

 

D16 Phoscyon 2 is still on its release version 2.0.0. and works nice

 

I am surprised those PA plugins, released in 2020, are still at 1.0.0. I guess it's testament to the fact they got it right the first time.
