My uncle was an Armenian, hope that counts as well, gosh, New Year is late this year, but light it up guys!

 

New year does start with the first day of spring, logical to me that way, not the way we do it in the west right now in the middle of the winter. Anyway, happy new year bro!

I am very happy and excited that you enjoy hearing about it.

I had previously talked a little about traditional Persian music somewhere in the AS. I will resend it and maybe elaborate on to give you more information. It will be my honor.

Well that does sound a bit like "January" then, doesn't it. When you're wearing a bass headset at least. But seriously, celebrating spring as the beginning of a new year is so nice. What a lovely view of the calendar you fellows have. Bet your weather's better too.

 

So I was reading up, apparently Shah of Iran as of 1954 decided to invalidate the Muslims conquest changes that incurred to the Persian Calendar and use the Imperial Calendar instead. So, basically you are celebrating 2578 (1398+ 1180) as your new year in Imperial Terms. Prior to the Islamic Revolution in 1978 changed it to that of Muslim thing. Right?
