About Competition

Calling all composers! This original theme called "Destiny's Door" created exclusively for this contest by Mr. Zimmer himself is yours to reimagine, replay, recompose or revise to your heart’s content. Below you’ll find a link to the theme plus everything you need to get the creative juices flowing. We’re looking for originality, curveballs and adventurous amphonics.

Here’s how to participate:

1) Download the stems at the button below and upload your track submission to SoundCloud

2) Submissions should be 90 to 120 seconds in length, include at least one stem file and include "Bleeding Fingers Contest" in your track title

3) Submit your track to http://www.hanszimmerwantsyou.com/submit by February 19

Prizes

The opportunity of a lifetime to become a Bleeding Fingers staff composer working along-side some of Hollywood’s premier film and tv composers on Hans Zimmer’s World famous Los Angeles campus.

The prize includes the opportunity for full-time employment, including a full benefits package, plus the use of a fully equipped studio in Bleeding Fingers brand new state of the art facility. The three lucky finalists will be announced on or before March 20, 2014.

But I bet they would say "YOU must pay for travel and accommodation while coming over for the interview". Which.. well nah.. not many people would xD

Well I wouldn't say no to a few days in LA lunching with Mr.Zimmer!

Interviews aren't my thing though. Years ago I went for a "serious" interview to try and get into a very prestigious film school. I got really nervous and spilt water over my shirt halfway through. Didn't get in.

 

Yeah, well that's still one friggin awesome job interview.
Pretty sure a lot of ppl would do almost anything for that one in a million chance to get to work in Hollywood.
Some years ago I would have gone Van Gogh on an ear for a shot at a job like that

I'll bet the winner will be from the US. Will be a hell of a lot easier than the company having the ballache of re-locating someone from UK etc

 

This restrictions are really lame.
Are they afraid that they can't handle people from other countries/cultures, or what is the problem?

We should sue them that they violate EU rights for not allowing all EU countries to participate... lol

 

If we could do that, then they could sue us for not abiding by their DMCA

Let's go back to the basics.
1) TPB follows Swedish law, the country where we live
2) DMCA is an american law
3) Sweden is not a part of the United States
4) TPB has no connection to United States and hence does not follow US law
