Hi guys.

I'm running a vanilla Windows 11 fully updated. Tried every Guitar Pro 8 version available at "the sister's" and nothing.

If I run it before applying the medicine it runs, after the program doesn't start. I see it lingering in the task manager but it does nothing.

Guitar Pro 7.6 works. I've tried everything that I know, I'm a bit green with 11...

Ryzen 5800h, 64GB.

Any ideas?

 

Hi, came back to help anyone who stumbles on this issue find the solution.

So, upon further investigation inside the program dir, I found the issue to be a new thing in Win11 called Webview. The hint came from one of the files in there. Once I installed that, everything was fine.

Here's the link if anyone needs it. Just replace hxxps with https. Don't know if linking directly to MS is advisable...

In the middle column, choose x64 or otherwise and you're golden.
