I'm having a noise problem with a Roland Studio-Capture and Cakewalk Sonar. When I record guitar tracks using amp sim plugins and higher gain settings, I get a high level of amp noise. I've never had this problem before. Even high gain amp settings were relatively quiet. I used to have a Roland Octa-Capture. I'm using the same guitar connected directly to the interface and the same plugins/presets. I recorded some bass guitar and vocals and did not have any noise issues. There is very little guitar noise when the amp sim is off, sounds like normal noise floor. Any ideas would be appreciated.
