I've been mixing this damned song for so long now I've lost all objectivity. So over it. There's some wierd phasing issue with the snare in parts, blerg. Over it really.

Here's where it's at right now. I'm going to leave it for a while, but if you have any suggestions fire away.

 

Edit: after listening some more and compared to other tracks

is it me or is there a lot of bass and some disturbing middle freq in the pads/strings? something is competing with your bassline.

they need some hig freq a bit more, there are nice notes there but hardly heard.
maybe invert the chord put the lower note an octave up?

in any case strip it from bass and let your baseline stand for all or most of the low freq. a well defined sub and a nice clean pad on top should be the result.

could the drum track be compressed and maximized a bit more? slightly
there are a couple of snare-hits here and there out of timing, easy fixed.

I had another crack, same link. I'm think I'll work on other stuff and come back to it in a few days.

 

gtfo! now that bass is working and having that strength its supposed to. and the drums are much better. that 808 kick is a bit tricky, i would have chosen a more analog one but

way better mix in my ears. sure, take a look at it in a couple of days. maybe someone else has given some input too.
