As holiday season is on... Christmas day is just knocking door and countdown of days to new year has already started...

Here I take opportunity to wish the whole music community... of AS and AZ...

This year has been the most memorable year of life: I started taking music seriously.

Almost from zero... I learnt many many new things in this... the first... year of music production.

Thanks to AS and AZ community for proving learning resources.

How was year 2015 for you..?

I welcome all of you to share your experiences...whatever good or bad happned in this year.

Let's think...how did we develop in last year...? What new techniques of music production did you applied and felt satisfied..? Which new genre you did attempt... and felt that you did good justice to the track..? Which mistakes do you regret today..?

Let us make list of major events happened in this year.

Just look back....and come up with...Anything you liked... disliked.

Another thing: Your New Year's Resolution

Now..what do you wish to take up as new year's resolution...?
Which mistakes ..you do not want to repeat in 2016..?
In what area you want to improve...? Music related..? Non-music related.. ? Anything...

Let us repair spoiled relationships...at least at AS and AZ (if any).

My resolution: I will try to improve my skills towards arrangement and sound selectiin of tracks which can be defined in a specific genre and mixing.

Go ahead...

my year was nice... learn a lot..work a lot... good health and with my family support... can't complain...

every year is going by soo fast... seems like time is running faster... as the number of wrinkles and white hair increase...

i wish you guys enjoy life the best way possible in the end if you are a mixer, producer,musician, artist ,creative person, you are family and i can only wish the best to my family...

learn, listen, share and don't be afraid to ask when in doubt... you don't need to be ashamed to learn something new... that's what life teaches ...

and go make some cool music because life is to short.

2015 was a year of second chances to me. I completed the single class I failed in the audio production course I took the past few years, and finally got my degree. I was also accepted back into university after flunking out severely a few years ago, and have found a passion in political science. The lesson I learned is: raves and parties are great and all, but never lose sight of what matters in life or you will be left behind in the dust. Apart from school, this year I have spent TONS of time trying to better my skills in both composing and mixing. But I'll be honest with myself. I spend way too much time lurking around audioz and reading reviews of different plugins/instruments and it's really starting to detract from the bottom line - making music! It's so easy to get stuck in a rut, and you find any excuse to do something else that feels like it's productive but actually isn't - focus and discipline are key.

So that's basically how I want 2016 to go, with more focus on getting things done, and getting them done well within the right amount of time. Sure, you can procrastinate... but it'll always make success harder and take longer to achieve. I also want to finally deal with my opioid addiction. It's really wearing me down physically and financially, and I am ready to quit... I just need to finally do it. I wish all of you an amazing and productive new year! Cheers

I forgot to mention in my original post....!! I have started in December 2014 working on music. 60%.. 70% part of the year I spent collecting softwares which I did not know how to use. Only some of them I could grasp. Later I decided to learn what I have till now (R2R going in back doors helped me in this decision). So... now I am comparatively better with synthesis and slowly making progress learning other process of music production.

I consider "just collecting without using softwares" as an addiction. Staying away from it is also an achievement.

Good that you have too realized before it is too late.

Regarding your opioid addiction, I would again mention: Good that you have realized before it is too late. It is more harmful then earlier one. I wish you best of luck for getting out of this. Next year we'll meet at AS to see.. how you got rid of your bad habits.
