hard to say whether googles motives are purely altruistic these days. i doubt it, so forgive my cynicism. very soon the sky will be jammed with all sorts of drones and balloons chattering robot gibber.. we shall see..

In places where there aren't enough doctors? Some doctor who examines and treats people via webcam. Don't know why they hadn't thought of that earlier, when Ebola first hit Africa. And places where there aren't schools for kids to receive education? Don't invest in building schools and hiring teachers there, spend an enormous amount of money on wifi balloons and Chome Books to spread Google's influence to ubiquity, where no one is will be free from it.
