    Hi Guys ,

I am making an orchestral track for a friend of mine .. I have a short story arc and need to compose a 2 or 3 min piece .
The story arc has various emotions such as sadness , fanfare , epicness , etc .

Are there any good tutorials online for me to make such kind of score ?
I need to make it as a soundtrack .

    Thanks

Note : I am not scoring for a movie .
Rather it's for a trailer for an already made movie .. From start to finish .
It has sadness , epicness , fanfare , etc .
It needs to be like a theme soundtrack .

    Thanks

best thing is to listen to the kind of genres you wish to approach and find some online theory courses (books).

it's better if you know the basics of theory and unusual rythms like 6/8, 5/4, 11/8 etc.. (modern musics are mainly 4/4 beats.. not all but the great majority)

self taught artists can do very good music, but when it comes to classical and scoring, musical culture is as important as theory.
the best way to figure out orchestration and cycles is to listen.

it takes 10 years to make a good Artist, whatever the genre, even john williams is not good at every classical genre

there's a lot of videos out there about people showing how they do their scoring ( one who comes to mind is daniel james, if you know him )

so, to answer your question, listen to a few pieces of the genres you want for your score and try to get close to that.
symphobia can be very helpful with their cinematic libraries ( lumina, orchestrator, etc.. )

    good luck

There's no magic course that will teach you how to write great music for orchestra overnight. This is something you develop through hard. Maybe you bit more than you can chew.
