    Which model is this?

Not only to you, but a lot of chairs look like this nowadays and you're right, they're quite comfortable.

Butt protector is vital, I hurt my tailbone once during a long stint sitting in front of computer and couldn't walk or sit right for a week which was really painful. I have a couple butt protectors in rotation now, haven't had the injury since. Mine have the hole at the back of the pad where the tailbone can fit for spine support, the pads in this thread look more like hemorrhoid cushions though..

My brother has a gaming chair like your wife and my back is painful quickly with it,the same with my personal chair which is a low cost one.I'm thinking about a Herman Miller chair seriously.
Does someone tall have a Herman Miller Aeron ?No problem with your back?

    Yo guys!
Hermann Miller without a doubt...bought one 7 years ago, that is the CHAIR ...and to answer your question about a back problem, I ordered this option onto it:
    https://www.ergosiege.fr/KIT-POSTUREFIT-AERON--0000646.html

I have to admit, that's an expensive one but if you look the time you spend on it, you really have to be well-installed onto it...that is really a good investment. Don't know where you are located but here in France,2 nd hand market got good deals such as this one for example..
    https://www.leboncoin.fr/ameublement/1722090746.htm/

Your back need the best and this is the answer, or at least, one of the answer but as mentioned above, you see this one everywhere...there is a reason for that and in this case, don't think it is for "trend" purpose...have a seat on it, and then talk...

to get the most out of a good chair you also need a desk which lets you adjust it's height.
I also makes sense to have dajustable armrests

    >= $1.000 for a professionally used chair seems to be overpriced. But that's not true. The last 40 years I tested many chairs in my business and the cheap ones just can't stand the stress they need to in a professional setting. Ive seen:
    • frayed upholstery within 2 weeks
    • exploded hydraulic cylinders
    • broken bases
    • broken wheels
    • back disorders within some weeks
    due to cheap chairs.

    Calculation based on my experience:
    1. Good chairs: In my business, I have to buy 20 new chairs every 10 years by average if I use good chairs, $1.000 each = $20.000 (expensive!?). Thats around $100 per seat per year.
    2. Cheap chairs: If I buy "cheap chairs" I would pay just $200 each, =$4.000 (Cheap!?). But they won't stand more than two (2) years, so I would need to buy them 5 times in the same time frame. AND if I will have (only) two illnesses in ten years because of back disorders (from cheap chairs) that will cost me $16.000 in average. That sums up to $200*20*5=$20.000 + $16.000 = $36.000/10years/20seats = $180 per seat per year.

Conclusion: "Cheap chairs" are nearly twice as expensive as good chairs.
If one sits on a chair only for a few minutes a day, cheap chairs may do the job. If one sits hours a day and/or regularily stands up and sits down, good chairs are a must.
In my business I nowadays only use high quality furniture and chairs. Plus I've installed motorized height-adjustable desks so my colleagues can sit or stand while working.
