Hello, I'm searching for an acoustic guitar or a vst that has a hard stroke, as used in tango. I have yet to come across such a vst, and i've tried everything that can be torrented. The closest i got was with the Sunbird by Acousticsamples. But that one is getting really old. The Ample guitars have a really weak unrealistic tone, and can't play the right chords that i want. I tried RealGuitar 6 by MusicLab, which sounds too fake and can't overlay the "chuck" noise over strokes. I tried Nylon Guitar by Ilya Efimov, there was lack of articulations altogether.

 

Well, the flamenco example is nylon and the folk one is steel, so you'll need at least two VSTi. I think Ample Sound's AGL and AGM got you covered. You can play absolutely any chord you want with Ample, from basic to Ted Green and even Elastic Man. Abusing articulations and really fiddling with the settings help, but it's a steep learning curve. Also, post performance (or post programming) fx help turn any sound source (real or virtual) from dry, amateur and awkward into professional sounding.

Hmmm.... if the overall quality of Ample Guitar ones is too low for you I'd go for some ISWorks or OTSamples library
