Hi guys! I had to use the Bios Switch (Boot from the backup BIOS) on my GA Z87 motherboard to be able to boot again. It worked fine but.. i wonder now that the switch is in position 2..

what do i do now?

shouldn't i somehow repair the failed bios on position 1 and go back to 1 at some point?

i mean isn't the whole point should be to have 2 working bios to choose from right.

i figured it out now. I had the exact same problem as one of the guys there, he had bios trouble but the backup supposed to copy itself to the main bios didn't kick in. but i managed to fix it.

as i said, i could boot through backup bios but i couldn't switch to the main bios to repair it or make the backup copy the working bios,i was stuck on the backup. and, i read several warnings on things you wasn't supposed to do while the machine was powered so it was kind of limiting my options.

At the end i booted from the backup and then despite the warnings (that showed to be aimed at my case but to other things) i switched the pin on the motherboard while powered, then i could affect the original bios slot and flashed flashed it right there.

now i can boot into both the main and backup bios if needed.
