All digital equalizers do not sound the same. The phase shape is different for each manufacturer, and even if there is a slight difference, it does not pass the 100% null test. mdweq5 is an EQ that has received good reviews in the industry, but its successor, eq6, does not seem to be very good. Some people rate ssl xeq the best, some rate waves req the best.
No matter what is evaluated as the best, what matters is the skill of the person using it.
And I think that the first impression and prejudice about the brand and the name power of 'Massenberg' will affect people's psychology.

Mainly due to the detached/anonymity factor that the net provides. A very small percentage of these "debates" would exist in a face to face or non-anonymous forum.

Maybe we should just accept that when it comes down to hearing, there are no valid arguments to be made. It is completely subjective, and a universal truth simply does not exist. If you want to argue, and you can't back it up with measurements, it is not worth engaging in the discussion as there is no change to be expected. No one will ever change his mind on something that is purely subjective, so it is simply a waste of time. The only value lies in the entertainment value. There is no real gain.

No one should engage in a discussion unless they are willing to change their views. If the only reason for entering is changing the other persons mind, it is useless.
