Since technology has entered the workplace, which is around 50+ years, people really should look at the figures of exactly how many human beings have already been replaced by machines, in workforces worldwide. In some scenarios, it makes sense but not in all.
None of this is a problem because this is how it is now, and we have to live with it.
The problem is they learned nothing, rather choosing to puff out their chest, almost shouting how clever they are without remotely considering the potential misuse of it or far-reaching consequences. The story of humankind's history = Stupid humans, greedy leaders and unaccountable assholes.

 

It's not that bad. Like with all technology that came before, and will after, we have to adapt and integrate it into our lives/workflows. If not, our craft will eventually become obsolete. Ai (sorry, machine learning) can be very useful. Yes, it can be used for bad and it is and will be, just like any other technology.

 

People complaining about the accuracy of AI search results are the modern equivalent of the people in the 90s who said GPS would never work. It was evil and would track your every move. The sky is falling. But now those same people will start their car in California, type "42nd Street Photo" into their GPS of choice, drive from California to Manhattan, end up parked on 43rd Street, and exclaim they knew this GPS BS would never work because they do not know you can't make a right hand turn on a red light in nyc.

 

Ai also brings division among us. Something close to religion... Don't forget your fellow humans you will need them one day or another.

 

Yes, we as a whole cave very quickly when technology is presented as being important for progress and as well good for you.The work to not leave a trace of yourself is an herculean task and above the threshold for comfort for 99.9 % of people.

 

I think we're in a century of turmoil in which humans will become useless to industry, thereby upsetting the entire global financial structure. Universal Basic Income is absolutely necessary, sooner rather than later, but billionaires, who have governments in their pockets, will need to be dragged kicking and screaming towards any model that reduces their ability to increase their wealth in any way. The question is, who is going to do the dragging? I'm not really talking about politics here because the whole structure needs changing, it isn't a question of left vs right anymore. I'll be long dead before UBI is implemented, it's just turmoil for me!

Since the world is totally over-indebted and the payments for the loans are getting higher and higher, there are 3 possibilities: a debt cut (rather unlikely), more money printing leading to currency revaluation and inflation and a new monetary system based on CBDC = Central Bank Digital Currency Digital central bank money, which can also be programmed. If that doesn't work either, there will probably be gold-backed currency.

I think when contemplating new technology that we are told we cannot live without, it is best to examine the world around us that does fine without such technology, to realize we are being sold a bill of goods, a phantom, an illusion.

so then one must ask onself, "for what purpose am I being led down this path?" is it for my benefit, or for the benefit of those leading and creating this path.

ask yourself these questions and understand its about much more than funny pictures and groovy plugins...
