Hello all, So far, I have been playing with combo practice amps (except in the studio or space where they had separate amps and cabs). I have an older Gallien-Krueger 400RB Bass Amplifier (Series 1) from the late 1980s or early 1990s (this one- Gallien-Krueger 400RB Bass Amplifier Review) and can get the Yorkville XC115 bass cab (this one- Yorkville XC115 Bass Cabinet) pretty inexpensively. I have a very small budget so I can't afford an expensive or big and loud cab at this time. I am unable to find good reliable sources of information for both the amp and cab. And as I am pretty new to hardware amps and cabs, I don't want to blow anything up! I will mainly play and record at home. So will the Gallien-Krueger 400RB Bass Amplifier (Series 1)+ Yorkville XC115 (1x15) Bass Cabinet work together? Thanks!
Might be ok running @ 8 ohms. An ancient head! Here's info for research : https://audiocircuit.dk/downloads/gallienkrueger/GallienKrueger-400RB-pwr-sm.pdf https://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/yorkville-xc115-bass-cabinet Last edited: Aug 7, 2024
