Orion Sounds extends its products range with this latest unique instalment,
a dangerous sounding presets-pack inspired by the analog king of FM synthesizers, the unforgetable Yamaha DX7!
This soundbank was created in collaboration with Oliver Spart, a great sonic specialist, which meticulously
crafted this futuristic arsenal full of modwheel assignment.Loaded with earthshaking basses, screaming leads,
analog sounding pads and chords, sexy plucks and abstract FX, this pack is suitable for genres like Future/Deep/Tech-House/(and not only)
and is really a must have!
Just check the audio demo and judge for yourself.

P.S. all the tonal/melodic sounds are straight from just Spire! The "Explosion" sound or other texture related FX sounds were samples, which we included in the pack as well.

Technically to its core, is digital, but by "analog" we meant about the real deal, which you could actually take care of [IMG], wipe off dust, touch a fader or buttons, or store it in the garage.
Also (guys in the required age) hearing 80s songs which featured DX7 sounds, when i wasn't even born and when there wasn't any DAW available. [IMG]
Digital these days can mean "virtual" as well. So we could've said we tried to emulate FM8 by NativeInstruments, but instead we reffered to the real deal. DX7 practically was abused and used as any analog device. :mates:

P.S.: By "King", we meant about the fact that DX7 wasn't the only FM synthesizer out there back in the day, but it was the most famous of them all. There were also different models e.g. DX1, DX5,DX100,DX200, FS1R, Synclavier, Nord Modular, etc.

There are typical Dx7 slap bass, upright basses and keyboards (EP, Clav etc...) that you can find in old 80's productions, there are Roland D50 like sounds too, taking advantage that Spire is able to mix FM with analog synthesis, and there are a lot of modern sounds that can be used for Future House and a lot more styles.

Most of the sounds have a great dynamic/sensibility programing, so be it from velocity , mod wheel and/or after touch, you get living and expressive presets, that translate your sensible touch.

@ Intrinsic It will be available at Producerloops.com soon.

It could probably works with industrial/goth
FM synthesis give that "metallic" definition.

I found a lot of metal bands using kind of Sytrus FM sounds to complement metal. Very punchy and raw.
Spire is even more punchy :mates:
