I would like to know how does the current Cubase s compare to Cubase 5?

How is the stability and the performance, if you run it on the same machine?

The difference is hauge.like night and day.

U can run in same machine.

Versjon 8 is more stabil,and new tools that make things much easiler.

Versjon 5 is like a 55 years old women,the version 8 is like 18 year old girl.. Much faster in every kind of work u do.

Now u can choose.

Cubase 8 is so much better than 5..trust me...this is obvious anyway...have you not read any reviews?

The DAW runs nice on older machines too...obviously this is dependant on how many plugins/tracks etc you have runnin..

 

I think you can try Cubase 8 ai or elements 30-days trial it's about 2.6 gb of download

 

Cubase Pro 8 is outstanding!

I used Ableton for EDM stuff, but then exports the wav files to Cubase to master. I also do all my film score type stuff in Cubase as it can really do almost anything. I only use Ableton for EDM cos I'm used to it and for features like the slice to MIDI etc.
