Why/how is VPS on a E-Licenser? To my knowledge it has never used that protection..

 

Question 2: What is important to know about the software copy protection Vengeance Sound products (plugins only) use?
All software products of Vengeance Sound use the eLicenser/USB dongle system. This requires 1 free USB port on your computer and the USB dongle itself. The dongle is not included in any of the Vengeance Sound products and needs to be purchased separately (see for example the multilingual store of www.thomann.de). Each USB dongle can hold many licenses (e. g. Vengeance Sound, Steinberg Cubase etc.), so you only need to purchase the key once and can use it for all Vengeance Sound products. You may install single-license software on several computers as only a valid USB dongle license enables software use on one of the computers at the same time.

 

something strange happening here... some of plugs require additional fee to transfer iLok license from one account to another, for ex. 25 USD for Softube TSAR-1. some plugs dont allow resell. so strange. be carefull

Most of the VPS/reFX stuff is bought around 2010-2013 period, but still topnotch for many popular genres... maybe you aren’t involved in music (production) long enough to know this. Refx and Vengeance plugins were always on e-licenser ;)

See, where we used to beef about ‘real’ (monetary) stuff back in the days, these ‘kids’ just killin’ eachother for postal area codes n stuff BIG LOL - That’s insane imo. I live close to those 73 kids and I used to see those rascals all the time. Anyway, my 14 yrs old son be likin’ that stuff a lil’ too much — it’s still trending that drill stuff.. I thought it would’ve been over by now.

All software from Vengeance but not Avenger. They used to use a self made protection but switched to codemeter lately. If one wants to upgrade to 1.5+ he'll need to buy the codemeter USB stick.
I think (but not sure) you will need to upgrade to 1.5+ anyway as Vengeance won't authorize new computers (or users) with the old proection scheme.
