I search for something in my cd library and found some of USB Soundscan AKAI cd's. Here is some example sounds. There is a lot of usefull things and still sounds great

Using old loops is like eating food that someone's already digested, man. But sounds are another matter. And regarding quality these sound really nice!

The point of that topic ? i think it´s discussion. That´s the deal with discussion Forums.
An yes you can access it. Threadstarter named that libraries perfectly right so simply go for audioz and then .. yes you can.


Besides that. Long ago, i´ve grabbed some Snairs&Kicks out of that underground library. With a neve console & a hell of drive and recorded them into my mpc. Great sounding one shots that you can create of that library. Still in my one shot library!

But like SineWave said before "Using old loops is like eating food that someone's already digested, man. " so i took it only for creating one shots in a sample based way..

Main reason of this topic is how older stuff are still great. AKAI/EMU format is past if you look at today.
This is just showcase and preview of some intresting to me.
As "n12" said, he used only some one shots, but I can use some loop's from electro lib and do totaly different thing with sampler, choop some pieces, or revers or ... whatever. It's a free will and art at the end
This loops are great even they are produced in year of 2000.
Same thing with ethereal atmosphere sampler... and many more.
Next days I will push some more previews of intresting AKAI cd's.
Someone can view this and judge, "ok, I can make some intresting pad/atmos with this lib and don't need to have Omnisphere or something else" (someone with small HDD )

 

Actually I like chewed up then spat out style stuff, particularly with percussion.
I used to own an E-MU Emax and liked it's 'lo-fi' quality. It has 12-bit sample memory which was some-how expanded to 16-bits!

 

Ah, those old Akai and Emu sample cd's are great.

Yes, I also agree with you Nikon about that lack of Hard Drive space issue. You could also have much more fun creating your own original samples with these. Instead of using one vsti that uses huge sample bank and could easily fill up a hard drive eight years ago by it self alone.
