I've been in a real meh period creatively lately. started focusing on mixing things better, got drawn into that scene but now i feel like i'm just kinda coasting along not making much that gets me inspired. maybe i should sing more, but thats also a struggle. right now it just has to be "good enough" cause im the one who is listening to it, maybe i should try and start or find a project to do so i'm more accountable and will put 100% into it. ce la vie, probably not for a little longer with this crazy job. anyway, thanks! @Aidene gorgeous as always, great arrangement. yeah this one is really good you knocked it outta the park. i went back on the cheat song, removed everything but the drums and vocals and started making something else underneath those. already like it more, thanks for the comment cause it made me reaccess things and now i like it better ha.

@9ty this is tight. great intro, 48 seconds to the minute mark is my fave, right up my alley. sounds creepy af, awesome. last half is cool too got my head moving. clean beat

 

@Grape Ape the fractured lyrics make me feel like if i was losing myself over an insatiable woman. The act feels worth it, but what comes with it sometimes isn't really.. She may get our body and possibly mind, yet without any care, throws it happily away for a quick lunch. I'm in love with the pad you used.

@Aidene this is both ominous and enticing, there is danger lurking but you can't help but be compeled in total hypnosis. Another masterpiece in storytelling.. The magneficient creature sings and dance while each destructured cymbal hits ike a "chomp" in the chair, with the huge bass intensifying the gore effect.. Okay, uppon 3rd listening, the creature actually started eating my sound card. Had to reboot to get it back before it gets digested !! Definitely dangerous.

@OOM there are notes that caress you and some that piece right through you. Very pretty, yet sad with a feeling of eternal loneliness, somehow

@9ty i love the mixture of styles, starting up on hiphop with japanese influences, going into trap then moving on not-too-hardcore dnb before finishing, no, obliterating you on big bass dnb. I think your objectif was successful. Goddess transformed into lasergun.

@macros mk2 i think this may be my favorite of yours until now. Excellent rythm. And the arp <3.. It all sounds very well together ! Love the synth disto, it matches very well with the (kind of) alarm sound. Well done with the filter too. Excellent bro ! love it

@aschnt : yo i wasnt ready for that description, thats some deep shit and a beautiful analogy homie; definitely felt that. this is definitely my favorite entry of yours so far. i love the atmosphere and tribal, almost primal quality it has. i feel like that primal essence is a major part of sex that you captured well in this; but it also has like this mystic quality too it in its textures and pacing; that reminds me of middle eastern music, thats both seductive and subdued - yeah you killed this one gang, super travail mon ami

 

thanks brother ! that's exactly right, this raw tribal feelings of what obsessive love or sex can be, is what i wanted to bring in the track, alongside some feelings of losing the childself to be slowly consumed by the other, for the other and ultimately nothing left remaining of you.

in a drunk, solid move, i sold a kidney on a Silkroad copycat to buy Analog Heat FX from Electron. Used it on the master track to play with some bit crusher, tapes wobble and of course heating it with some sweet analog. Very fun to play with !

 

@aschnt .. The Black Widow strikes again! Still another sweet tune and so true to your apt description. You've a special sound that I really enjoy listening to, and since I've now heard much of your work could pick it straight out if it was in a police lineup of killer tunes due to your trademark sound!

Nice with the Analog Heat. It adds a special je ne sais quoi. If you wanna replace that kidney I know a guy that knows a guy!

Welcome in here, very glad you could share some of your work with us. that is an interesting take on the picture. i can definitely feel in your track the uplifting feelings the picture gave you. i like the synth coming up around 0:40 and the kinda trumpet making a small apparition as if to make it a bit more elegant.
Then exploding it does ! It feels like young, wild love, the untamed beast :D. Keep it up

@Magic Max : that was kinda cool actually, reminds me of Tom Waits. idk if you used the same process you used last time with the lyrics; but it turned out better in this one imo. has some nice harmonies when the vocals, piano and harp-ish thing blend

ayo whats good lol; i was legit wondering where you were. this one is actually pretty dark, wasnt expecting that; has like a heavy goth vibe and like a european coldwave style. definitely fright night, nice job

 

@Magic Max this sounds very papal-like slam music. Love the way you approached it ! The theme fits particularily well with the tears, the red and the blood in the picture, but it does fit your profile picture very well too! This, with the way it is spoken, somehow emphacies the feeling of personal journey of yours. Thanks for sharing

@capitan crunch the "love" and "infection agent" sound very much like Lois to my ears :p. Also, very much like the contrast between the enticing female singing and the crunchyness of the vocodex. It's both sweet & dirty, which draws parallels with the way relations or sex definitely can be !

For this piece I used this REAKTOR organ as the main sound base.

On this type of sound and atmosphere I superimposed 3 other tracks.
One for piano/percussion, very metallic.
The other two (Left and Right), like bordoni or drones,
they recall certain sounds of hurdy-gurdy and mellotron.
Very intimate, almost pastoral atmosphere.
