So, UAD Pure Plate Reverb was free until 12/2024. They have removed the promo page since and selling it at $29, but the actual 'click me' link is still alive and you can still get it for free. They may have just forgot to defunct it. Grab it quickly, since they can remove it any time.

And then you can delete it/remove it/block it whatever you want right after.

 

You do have to because All native plugs from UAD are dependent on Ilok cloud, meaning you have to maintain an internet connection for them to be active. but you can buy an ilok dongle and transfer the licenses to that ilok usb drive and disconnect from the internet entirely.
they actually have goood plugins and I am far from a fanboy. just have enjoyed their plugins ever since they went native. I'd never get an interface though because if you use those plugins dependent on the interface i'm dead in the water as soon as I leave the studio and need to work on a given session elsewhere with my laptop. sticking to my RME and with the native versions I can leave the house with jsut the irig in the bagpack in case i need to work on something and i have access to all the plugs.

 

are you sure about that? i don't think so. You might have to keep the lines open to maitain the license active via ilok cloud.
but nothing comes to harm. my laptop is a pirateship and i have bought all their native plugins and all works smooth.
but yea, you gotta keep an internet connection whilst working on a session where you're using these plugs.

 

I have most of the UADx Native plugs and they can be transferred to a USB iLok, you don't need an internet connection.

 

yeah, I wouldn't use cloud registration for anything myself, as I don't trust it, don't have internet connectivity sometimes, and certainly am not gonna be on when I'm using my daw.

But it doesn't matter, as iLok Cloud costs them more, so they don't sport for that on the giveaways. I just checked mine that I got a few weeks ago, and it's machine auth or physical iLok.

So if you aren't going to have a physical iLok, machine auth.

And if you have bought all their stuff and are using iLok cloud for it? That just sounds a little short sighted.... I would think you are much better offline and dealing with the damn dongle if you have to. (as I know some that are BOUGHT don't allow for machine auth ironically)...

I see no harm in getting it under your name. An email is all it takes. Maybe someday they may ditch the iLok and you could finally use it.

 

Useless UAD Connect Why Guys Just Share The Plugin Here ?

 

My first UAD experience was with that tube channel strip. Couldn't even install it, UAD Connect refuses to open. I'm glad it was free, because I know they can sell their shit for $1 and it's the same as throwing money away, since I can't even install it.
