I would be a big fan of this idea if there were more than a half dozen emulations that sounded anything like the original synthesizers

they are getting better all of the time though, so maybe in a few years it will make more sense?

I agree, but it's still a pretty good result for some people. I like virtual synthesizers because, at the end of the day, they give the general public an idea of what some very expensive and rare nuggets can be. There's also the maintenance and space required for hardware, which is solved with virtual alternatives.

you can mathematically prove you will never hit ground by jumping off a building by computing diminshing distances.

I never did trust numbers....

 

One never actually impacts directly with anything else, it's the pressure that squishes you. Electrons repel each other forcibly. Though, there is the Van der Walls force that can bond electrons, but not when you do a header off a roof.

and what about the Kasmir effect, and zero point energy, if all that energy is bubbling into and out of existence, it must have a source.. ergo alternate universes, or a really big battery is sitting just outside this universe.
