Hi all,

Just sharing a project I've been working on in free time. Here you'll find some plugins I developed. Those are customized, "hot rod" version emulations of some very well known hardware classic gear, as well as some complete custom design "units". I basically developed the versions I always wanted to have for my own work and sound preference.
Plugins are for Windows only (for now), VST3 format, and are free to download. There are more in the making...
Please, feel free to use them, and let me know what you think of those.

AI slop? pls tell the truth, im starting to seeing this kind of interface on sistesite too, its too obvious...

 

Metric Halo have similar style interfaces on a few plugins. So do a lot of developers now. It doesn't mean they're using AI-assisted coding, although a generic looking interface can make people wonder. What surprises me is how often people assume every plugin they like was built entirely from scratch with custom DSP and a handmade interface. It's growing stale. If the plugin sucks, it sucks.

It's not AI slop, I spent quite some time going back and forth refining these DSPs.
As for the GUI, as clone said, it's become kind of a trend lately, it's called "neumorphism". It's been here long before AI (think your cellphone gui), and I always liked its sleek minimalism.
Anyways, what's more important is how these sound, and I'm quite happy in that regard.

None of the plugins work, Win11, Reaper, it says the plugin could not be loaded.

 

I tested them on Windows 10, Studio One and Ableton Live 12. They work fine.

Make sure you copy the whole VST3 folder to your VST3 directory, NOT ONLY .vst3 file.

I liked the fact you put the distortion and EQ sections from the 1073 as standalone plugins. Especially because i was looking for a clean 1073 eq design to use alongside Nebula libraries, since their filters are a mess to setup. I will give it a try!!

Edit: Yeah, i can confirm. those plugins won't load.

mmm okay. i didnt know about that but never saw that kind of interface hard to agree there... its what i see it on everything right now.

 

well... u can notice right now before ai and claude exists... im here around just in this line of era where the ai doesnt exist and NEVER see that kind of GUI repeatdly, instead all have a different skin or image... but now i saw this style even of webpages... its the same... even i made with gemini an app similar to sclaer to see if i was able to achieve something more close to my workflow nothing new, and was throwing this type of gui... after that i started to saw it as i say in webpages, plugins... etc...

 

eg: this looks exactly like the busybeatwork limiter XD, yea except colours ......... i already know this kind of GUI.

 

I don't know, dude. I don't think it looks similar. To each his own. You're stuck on the GUI thing like your life depends on it. Did you even try how they work, what they sound like? These plugins are offered for free. Take it or leave it, and move on. Cheers.

what tap lenght and what tapering window did you use for the n-band downsampling filters and how did you made up those decision? do you decide it per effect or use the same in all plug-ins?

 

Tap length and window is 96 to 128 taps, using a Kaiser window. The core filter design (taps and window) is the same across all plugins to ensure consistent phase and latency, but the oversampling multiplier is adjusted per effect, based on how much harmonic distortion it generates.
