Pretty neat, but I feel like I'm missing something. As far as I can tell the only way to install it is to download the T Racks installer, load the whole bundle onto your computer and either prune it by hand or have a couple dozen useless, unauthorized plugins on your hard drive.

Surely there's cleaner way to do this...

edit- actually I'm not sure that there is a cleaner way. I guess I shouldn't complain about a free plugin but there's an awful lot of bloat and upselling involved in just installing a free VST. As a first time IK user, it's not exactly a sterling advertisement for their company. Whatever, maybe the compressor is really good.

The idea is you can try any of the plugins you don't have without having to download and install. 14-day trial or whatnot can be started upon opening the plugin. The same thing happens with other manufacturers, for example UAD.

You didn't have to install all in Waves ever since they introduced the Waves Central app. You pick only the plugins you need and patch afterwards.

Thanks for the info, I never knew that.
It has been a very long time I didn't use or install any of waves plugin anymore.

But how about this IK Multimedia? I fancy a few of their plugs (Black76, White2a, Stealth Limiter), but if it's mandatory to install all the vst I will never use, I rather not install it at all.

You can erase the DLL files of the plugins you don't need after install, but it is a messy deal, indeed, with the custom shop and a huge VPA [if I remember correctly] file with all the resources for all plugins in it, so you can't erase that one. What happened to the good old one plugin - one DLL? Gone with the corporate wind [farts in this case].

Yeah I get the idea, but you're not given a choice really. First time user, and a freebie at that, so my opinion isn't worth much but are their customers really cool with all that cluttter and salesmanship built into their purchased products? plus not one but two peripheral applications. It's just a lot.

The thing is, that's a perfect opportunity for them to give you a demo of the stuff you didn't buy yet. People are turned off by demo licenses these days and won't bother, so they try to catch your interest by having the plugins ready to try whenever you fancy.
