Requirements

1. What I will need is If its mastering then 2 track 44 or 48 k , 32 bit float
2. if mixing then all the stems at 44, 24 bit
3. a rough mix optional but helpful
4. and a reference mix or 2 again optional but helpful
5. Song tempo if known
6. Song key if known

If you want "mastering", don't forget to tell him where you're going to distribute and/or upload your music. That's the #1 need-to-know requirement. Mixing can be a shot in the dark. Mastering is about compliance and standards.

 

Very True ... I normally Comply to streaming standard for the major platforms these days but if you'd like to specify that will work too !

nope , its a good balance for mixing , when you reach the streaming platform you will get downsampled anyway before anyone ever hears it so 44.1 is A OK
