I will be posting a tutorial soon. Until then, I suggest you download and install the program to familiarize yourself with it. I believe that, like many things in life, it's easier to learn through trial and error.

 

Yes, a tutorial would be very helpful! I am excited to try it but want to be sure I install correctly and know the basics on how to use it!

As i said, I have already downloaded the app and 5 models.. but from what I just read, unless I am misunderstanding something, apparently it wont install or work offline without internet connection to download an additional 18 "factory" models required?

I am with the other guy, I wont connect my DAW computer for anything, ever, so having a way to user-download the 18 files is essential - or better to just include it all bundled with the app itself when downloaded from your site. One and done.

 

I'd say one male and one female voice model will do to explore basic capabilities of the program, and it would save us some disk space as well as bandwidth and time needed to download the installer.

 

For me, any plugin that requires internet connect, be it a constant or even for just 1 minute only during initial install, is an instant and absolute NO.

How large of a download in total is the "18 factory models" anyway, are we talking a few hundred MB's or like 10 GB's?

 

No idea, as I'm also offline, so I wasn't able to download anything. From what I read it may be between 5-7 GB.

 

Any chance to get a check for updates button in the app somewhere?

 

yeah the pitch control is pretty cool in what it can do.

 

I was wondering why there are not even one convincing demo provided for this project.
Then I clicked on the link Weights.gg and checked the uploaded results there. So far calling this as voice cloning is like saying that cloning the Mona Lisa while copying it on a multi-functional monochrome laser printer.
I mean, are you kidding me? Guys, c'mon! Wasting time and resources.

 

if you just restart the app it auto checks for updates if you have it connected to the internet.

 

the app actually comes with no models at all to convert. The models its downloading are models to run the AI behind the conversion.

This is exactly one of the many great use cases of this app!

But we can get even more creative. You can blend models with the app too.. so try to mix 60% elton jon with 40% of another anon voice and create your own sound.

 

This luddite perspective is what most take when new technology presents itself. Even the first Daws and Drum machines didn't sound that great. But the people who adopted the tech early pioneered new genres.

Can this be used without internet?
When i'm offline it say not connected to server and can't generate the song.

yes.. it’s fully offline.

it needs to download the initial files to run for the first time.

 

Sounds like this is NOT a tool for your needs... why then post at all? Why sped time randomly being negative about a tool you have not used? Maybe some reflection time would do you more good than posting on here?
